 The Cellaxess Elektra is a revolutionary automated platform for the in-situ electric field manipulation of primary adherent cells and stem cells. The platform is highly flexible, and can be used for cell stimulation, general intracellular delivery and transfection across a diverse range of applications in cell biology and biomedical research.

Combining the Cellaxess Elektra’s ability to electrically stimulate adherent cells with dynamic imaging, allows Cellectricon to perform high quality phenotypic assays for compound characterization and target validation in a high-throughput format.

Electrostimulation pulses are delivered to cells via capillary electrodes enabling the direct manipulation of cells in HCA compatible 96- or 384- well plates. The focused nature of the electromanipulation minimises electrochemical toxicity and joule heating, to guarantee retained cell morphology and excellent cell viability.

The Cellaxess Elektra system is equipped with an imaging-based microplate reader to simultaneously record transient fluorescence and luminescence signals, providing real-time monitoring and information-rich readouts of cell culture response.
